According to the CDC, in 2018, drowning is the number one cause of unintentional death for children between the ages of 1 and 4.
When Gabriel was an expecting father, he had a desire to help other families protect what mattered to them most.
In July 2019, he started his business and is now the proud owner of Tucson Pool Fence and Safety, a pool safety installation and mesh maintenance business.
Building a small business bit by bit
Some businesses start from the ground up and others get the opportunity to inherit what others have begun.
Before opening his business, Gabriel was studying whilst working in the pool safety business.
In July 2019, he was given the opportunity to take over the business from a previous employer.
We were expecting our first child and I wanted to be my own boss, make my schedule and be able to be at home to grow with my new family.
When he decided to take over the business, his keen attention helped him see what needed to be improved to really build his business.
Gabriel soon realized he had a knack for business and began relishing the freedom and flexibility of being his own boss.
But as time went on he soon realized that being the boss also meant that he would have to work hard and stay organized to keep on top of everything.
It’s hard work! But being persistent and having the right tools to help keep you organized really helps.
